This policy explains what information Digital Contractors LLC ("Digital Contractors," "we," or "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, the forms on it, our text messages, the Digital Contractors client app, the work we do for our clients, and our internal operations dashboard. 1. Our website
This policy applies to digitalcontractors.io and all of its pages and subdomains. That includes our landing pages (such as go.digitalcontractors.io) and our tools, calculators, and quote pages.
When you visit, some information about your visit is collected automatically. This can include your device and browser type, your IP address and general location (such as your city or state), the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that sent you to us, and how you use the page, such as clicks and scrolling.
We use cookies and similar technologies to do this. They fall into two groups:
- Analytics tools help us understand how people use the site so we can fix problems and improve our pages.
- Advertising platforms help us measure whether our ads work and show our ads to people who may be interested, including people who have visited our site before.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Many browsers and advertising platforms also let you limit personalized ads. The site will still work if you block cookies, but some features may not.
2. Information you give us
When you fill out a form on our site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, business website, and details about your business, such as your revenue range and the services you offer.
You might give us this information when you book a call, download a playbook or guide, subscribe to our newsletter, or use one of our calculators or reports.
We use it to:
- respond to you and schedule the call you asked for,
- send you the resource, report, or results you requested, and
- send you marketing emails and, if you agreed to them, text messages about our services.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of any email. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
3. Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, Digital Contractors may text you about your inquiry, your scheduled calls, and our services.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
- Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
4. The Digital Contractors client app
We offer a mobile app for our clients. It appears on your phone as "DC Studio." The app is invite-only and is for Digital Contractors clients.
Signing in
You sign in with an invite code we give you. When you do, we store your business name, a name for your device, and a sign-in token. The token itself stays in your phone's secure storage. Our servers keep only a one-way hash of it, never the token.
Scripts
The app holds the scripts we send you and any scripts you write yourself.
Camera and microphone
The app uses your camera and microphone only while you are recording.
Recordings and photos
When you choose to send a recording, it is uploaded to our secure cloud storage. The app also saves a copy to a "DC Studio" album in your phone's Photos. It does not read the rest of your photo library, and it does not collect your location.
No tracking
The app has no analytics, no ad tracking, and no third-party tracking tools.
Deleting recordings
You can delete a take before you send it. After we pull your recordings for editing, we delete them from our upload storage, and we deliver the finished videos to you.
The app is for business use and is not directed at children.
5. Data we handle for our clients
When a business hires us, we handle some of its data to run its marketing. This can include access to its advertising accounts, lead and customer information in its CRM, call recordings, and performance reports.
We use this data only to deliver our services to that client. We do not sell it. Access is limited to our team and the service providers we need to do the work.
If you contacted one of our clients through an ad or page we run for them, we handle your information on that business's behalf. You can contact that business or email us with questions.
6. Our internal operations dashboard
We run an operations dashboard for our own team. It is for internal use only. It is not open to the public or to clients, and it does not collect information from website visitors.
Sign-in uses Google sign-in and is restricted to digitalcontractors.io email addresses.
The dashboard reads data from business accounts we connect to it. We use that data only to see how our own business is running.
Data accessed from QuickBooks Online via Intuit's API is used only to display financial summaries in this internal dashboard and is never shared externally.
The dashboard takes hourly snapshots that are stored on a private server we control. Each new snapshot overwrites the prior data. Access tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted on the server side.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
Two things are handled on a set schedule. Recordings sent through the client app are deleted from our upload storage after we pull them for editing. Dashboard snapshots are overwritten every hour.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. These include encrypted connections, access limited to our team, and encrypted storage of access tokens. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed.
10. Your choices and rights
- See, correct, or delete your information. Email [email protected] and tell us what you would like us to do.
- Marketing emails. Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message.
- Cookies. Block or delete them in your browser settings.
- Client app. Delete any take before you send it, or email us to remove your app data.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you other rights. We will honor them as required.
11. Children
Our website, services, and client app are for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
